CATHARSIS

When one closes themself off, deep feelings often become buried. This is the explosion of those feelings.

An experimental film made using a variety of found footage and footage I shot myself. The audio is a combination of music, sound effects, and spoken word. Ideally viewed in a dark room on two CRTs playing a few seconds apart on a loop.

This short video shows various test footage I shot on the Arriflex 16SR. All footage was shot on 250D Color Negative 7207 Film, and then color graded and edited on Final Cut Pro.

Sweet Melancholy

A film dedicated to my late Grandfather, Thomas Hupke. I wanted to explore the bittersweetness of grief and how looking back on found memories with that person are now tinged with a bit of melancholy.

Bat Country

Made by filmming a Panasonic VCR-TV while it played a VHS of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

The Laughing Heart

Using footage I've captured over the years and pairing it with a poem by Charles Bukowski, I was able to create The Laughing Heart

Copy Cat

Copy Cat is a short horror film about a group of film students who have an unfortunate run-in with a serial killer. This short film was a collaboritive project made with the Film Club at GSU. Co-directed by myself and Myles Wishart.

The Housewife

The Housewife is a drama with a sci-fi twist. It follows the story of a housewife, Susan, and her abusive husband, Harold. This is the first film I wrote and directed, and it was made my first year of film school. Starring Maggie McCosh and Isaac K. Miller.
